Bir Akademik Süperstar Olarak Žižek

Slavoj Žižek‘in son kitabı, In Defense of Lost Causes yeni çıktığı için ufacık bir Žižek Durumu eleştirisi yapmak istedim.

Slavoj Zizek - In Defense of Lost Causes

Books #7: Principles of Tissue Engineering

PoTE

First published in 1997, Principles of Tissue Engineering is the widely recognized definitive resource in the field. The third edition provides a much needed update of the rapid progress that has been achieved in the field, combining the prerequisites for a general understanding of tissue growth and development, the tools and theoretical information needed to design tissues and organs, as well as a presentation by the world?s experts of what is currently known about each specific organ system. This edition includes greatly expanded focus on stem cells, including adult and embryonic stem cells and progenitor populations that may soon lead to new tissue engineering therapies for heart disease, diabetes, and a wide variety of other diseases that afflict humanity. This up-to-date coverage of stem cell biology and other emerging technologies is complemented by a series of new chapters on recent clinical experience in applying tissue engineering. The result is a comprehensive textbook that we believe will be useful to students and experts alike.[link]

Books #6: New Directions in Bioprocess Modeling and Control

ndbmac

Process modeling & control is the most tricky area of Bioprocess Engineering. A new book from McMillian & Boudreau arrived.

If you are a process design, quality control, information systems, or automation engineer in the biopharmaceutical, brewing, or bio-fuel industry, this handy resource will help you define, develop, and apply a virtual plant, model predictive control, first-principle models, neural networks, and multivariate statistical process control. The synergistic knowledge discovery on bench top or pilot plant scale can be ported to industrial scale processes. This learning process is consistent with the intent in the Process Analyzer and Process Control Tools sections of the FDA s Guidance for Industry PAT A Framework for Innovative Pharmaceutical Development, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. Books #5: Bioprocessing for Value-Added Products from Renewable Resources

707941

Stunning book from Elsevier on Renewable Energy Sources problematic. People who are dealing with renewable energy resources in bioprocess industry or institution should take a look to this book. Advised.

In a very structured way this book begins by describing the modern technologies that form the basis for creating a bio-based industry. Next it lists the various organisms that are suitable for bioprocessing -from bacteria to algae- and it gives their unique characteristics. These first two parts set the stage for a variety of novel, experimental bioprocesses, such as the production of medicinal chemicals, the production of chiral compounds and the design of biofuel cells. Concludes with examples where biological, renewable resources become an important feedstock for large-scale industrial production. Bioprocessing for Value-Added Products from Renewable Resources provides a unique perspective of the industry and the field and serves as an important guide towards the future. The book is suitable for researchers, practitioners, students, and consultants in the bioprocess and biotechnology fields.[link]
