UAT Instructor Creates Cuneiform and Hieroglyphic Translator
Published on August 30th, 2007.
Today I was informed by a slashdot enrty & this entry that Joe McCormack at UAT (University of Advencing Technology @ Tempe) did a bloody brilliant job with creating a translation engine for English to Sumerian/Assyrian-Babylonian. It’s the one of the astonishing jobs I’ve ever seen.
The idea beneath this translation engine is so inspirational… Creating symbolic links, etc… Again & Again thank you Joe!

Censorship in Turkey Update: New victim “flickr blog”
Published on August 20th, 2007.
It has been 2 days since the blocking of wordpress.com acceess from Turkey, reports says that access to http://blog.flickr.com from Turkey is blocked! We’re trying to understand why they did such a thing? Alonside our analysis there are no insulting, etc… things on that blog…
We think that the law about access restrictions to a web site in Turkey should be changed. Whenever a man/woman gets angry about a specific web site, he/she applies to the court and court decides to block it all.
Cheers!

Goodbye Last.Fm
Published on May 31st, 2007.
You may have heard about the acquisition of Last.Fm by CBS media. However they emphasize that the “openness” will continue, I think that all the spirit & all the freedom is gone… This is a sad moment for me…
When I look at the blog comments at last.fm’s announcement for the acqusition, they all say “congrats“… What a contrary !
” OH NOES UR SELLIN MY SCROBBLES!!1!! — Don’t panic. The openness of our platform and our approach to privacy won’t change. “
And what will be the situation of the open source codes and broadcasting to all world???From now on, I will delete my account on Last.Fm & and uninstall all the software on my systems…Goodbye… Tot ziens…
